Challenge: Create a unique voice for Diamond Crown Cigar's social media and create a print advertisement for the release of the cigar.
Solution: After researching competitor cigars Instagram accounts, we wanted to give viewers a unique experience when they followed Diamond Crown. Using Instagram's grid view allowed us to create a mosaic that when pieced together could create one giant post or ad for a couple of different events.
The "Bet On Black" campaign was used to encourage people to go to the Big Smoke cigar event in Las Vegas. The campaign brought Big Smoke event awareness to Diamond Crown followers and gave them a chance to receive a free premium cigar if they showed the "Bet On Black" password on their phone to a Diamond Crown representative.
Solution: For this labeled we wanted to emphasize the beer-making process since the beer is hand-crafted on site. The rest of the Badger State Brewing series is very hip and cool, so we wanted to continue that feeling in their Pilot Series label with simple, fun line drawings. There’s also a space where the brewer’s can hand write the type of beer, date the beer was brewed, and the batch number to give the label an overall hand-crafted, authentic feel.

As an aspiring IRONMAN, the chance to work on projects for IRONMAN Foundation was a dream come true. Not only would I be working on the 2014 Annual Report, Community Flyers, and website graphics, but I could help inspire athletes from around the globe to raise money for their communities. Kale Yeah, It's Vegan is a food blog my boyfriend and I started to share recipes, have fun with food photography, and help others along their journey towards wellness. Working as a team, we share the role of content creators and recipe developers. In addition to these roles, I also do a majority of the photography, post sharing, social media, and e-newsletter writing. Luke takes care of any baking recipes, smoothies, juices, assists in the photography and is an excellent dish washer. Together we make up Kale Yeah, It's Vegan and hope to spread the message that vegan food doesn't just taste like grass clippings.
We wanted to create a fun brand that didn't take itself too seriously. The name Kale Yeah, It's Vegan (sort of sounds like hellll yeah, get it?!) became a saying for us when a friend or family member couldn't believe our food tasted this good and was vegan.
We also created a free downloadable ebook that our viewers receive when they sign up for email updates.
What I enjoy most about this project is the ability to see how our brand will be translated on everything from the blog to social media to all the nitty gritty details of email marketing.
Challenge: Create completely new, illustrated advertisements for eye care supplies that stand out from the sea of mundane eye supply ads.
Solution: Every few months Eye Supply came to StudioMax with a general concept such as "Our People Make the Difference" or "You Need It. We Have It." Our job was to create unique illustrations and print advertisements/flyers/posters for each theme. The goal of the illustrations was to appeal to a young female demographic that might be a receptionist thumbing through an optometrist supply catalog to order supplies. These ads were incredibly fun to illustrate and have freedom to explore different styles.
Firefly Music Festival

During my time at Red Frog Events, the in-house design team was asked to brand a new music festival called Firefly. Within a couple of years, Firefly Music Festival grew to accommodate over 90,000 festival goers over 4 days and feature chart topping musical acts. I was fortunate enough to grow with this brand and work on everything from the very first logo concepts to the 2nd year merchandise. These two posters and the Billboard Magazine cover were some of my favorite projects.
